You have one job today.
Max out Claude Fable 5 usage. ( Mythos )
All the complex problems that opus 4.8 and gpt 5.5 couldnโt really nail, are one shotted.
Donโt just build.
Ask it to help you setup marketing loops. Ask it to help improve your life. This model is magic. Donโt hold back.
If you can't get a job due to AI, how about using AI to get the job?
I'm using the Codex app to do LinkedIn cold-outreach, and I'm impressed at the amount of work I'm able to get done.
I recently asked someone who is a consultant how to find clients.
He said it's hard and time consuming. Indeed, it's roughly 50% of job.
But he added it's like marriage โ it only takes one.
Once you land the first clients it's easier to get more :)
I'm currently having fun using Codex to find LinkedIn leads for me.
The app with the browser extension is a game changer.
It can automatically navigate LinkedIn for me!
Something I've been saying a lot lately, is that AI makes this kind of behaviour even more common.
A lot of devs with very repetitive tasks managed to automate most of the work, thus drastically reducing their work hours.
A 2h work day is not so uncommon.
I'm 38.
At this point of my life/career, I have so many friends working corporate W2 jobs making $200-400K/year (mostly in NYC/NJ/PA corridor) who just don't actually work that much.
One friend makes $250K as a manager at a biotech... all he does is send pictures of his chicken coop or other DIY projects all day during the week.. no idea what value he actually provides his company.
Then there's my "jiggler" friend who you might recall... guy makes $250-300K and just plugs a "mouse jiggler" into his laptop and just goes to the gym, homeschools his kids, tans, does yard work... all day. I ask him what he does and he can't even articulate it...
Another friend makes $150K at a remote startup and just travels around the world all the time... don't ask don't tell situation on where people are at any given time... but does seemingly little actual work.. maybe 1 hour a day.
This is truly what's going on out there... BS W2 jobs all over the place. And AI is a bubble?
Really?
While Fable is an amazing model, don't get too excited: it is great, but still has the usual failure models of the other good LLMs we saw in the past, including GPT 5.5. If you look at Anthropic, Opus -> Fable was a huge jump. If you look at the field, GPT 5.5 -> Fable is incremental.
Hard disagree!
Better model which can code a really good app, but imo it's still not going to handle all edge cases.
It also seems to be only a slight improvement from gpt-5.5
