Due to the forecast for severe weather and the Blizzard Warning in effect thru tomorrow night, Friday is a "virtual snow day" at DMPS. Classes for all students will be held online. There will be no activities/athletics and no Metro Kids care.

There is a Winter Storm Warning in effect from tonight thru tomorrow. If bad weather causes the cancellation of in-person classes on Friday, school will be held virtually. Students who are in-person today: please remember to take your laptop home with you at the end of the day.
The School Board has unanimously approved submitting a second waiver to the State of Iowa to continue virtual learning for an additional two weeks.

The waiver submitted by DMPS to resume virtual learning has been approved by the @IADeptofEd for all grade levels for the period of November 16-30. We will have additional information and details to share with our families and staff later today and throughout the week.
