@cherokeebend 6th graders connect sharing events that shape who they are and connecting with each other! We all belong to each other! This is our community!
I will not support what congressional Republicans are calling a “Continuing Resolution” because it’s not. It is a surrendering of the powers of Congress to the president and Elon Musk.
Musk does not have the power to make spending decisions, Congress does – the Constitution explicitly reserves the power of the purse to Congress. And passing this bill would give Trump, Musk, and Republicans six months to consolidate power in the executive and do some pretty awful things.
We’ve already seen what they’re willing to do to the Department of Education, veterans health care, cancer research, and more — and now, this literally gives them more license to destroy essential government functions and move large amounts of money around to punish certain states and cut funding to local communities.
There is so much bad policy baked into this. People will be hurt. Our nation's safety will be weakened.
Congress has a job to do. We swore an oath to uphold the Constitution — not to surrender Article One constitutional powers to Trump and Musk.
I don’t want them to have more power. I will vote no.
@spann Please explain this phenomena to me. The sun was afternoon behind the cloud as we travelled north on 280. Why does the cloud look as if it has a shadow from light coming from us?
@AriWeather please explain how this happens. The afternoon sun is behind the clouds from us. Why does it appear to have a shadow as if light from us is casting the shadow?
362 School Counselors on the Pandemic’s Effect on Children: ‘Anxiety Is Filling Our Kids’ - The New York Times - Yes! I’ve said these things this year so many times & our students got to come back in person masked & soc dist(- quarantines) fall of 2020. https://t.co/7Offil0nmr
@adamTHX1138@ResearcherGrace @CoastalBendBern Interesting, about full time school, our kids in school are masked & not involved in the transmission during school. Trans has either been adults who don’t follow mask & distancing guidelines or children outside of school not following guidelines.
@adamTHX1138@ResearcherGrace @CoastalBendBern Yes, I live amongst many of those people. I work in a school and my system has required masks through the end of this school year, at least. We have been in person full time since August.
@adamTHX1138@ResearcherGrace @CoastalBendBern Right, I can’t find the comment where I asked my question. Maybe I worded it poorly. 12 and up are eligible is what I meant.
@TheReactionGif@benleemusic@clairlemon The cost is inflated to cover the uninsured and unpaid medical bills. Pharm co are making money, not interested in people primarily.
@adamTHX1138@ResearcherGrace @CoastalBendBern I’m sorry they are not available in Oregon. They are abundantly available in AL so much so they may be reallocated to places in need. Of course we have so many here who won’t take it. We should do this one like the Polio vaccine-required.
@MandyBeidleman @unprocast Ooh! The pet thing is a good one! I am amazed at the teens who think nothing of adopting puppies from a guy with a box giving them away at the gas station. First year $1,200-2,000 for vet bills alone.
