Some 6,000 people — 200 of them children — are right now starving to death in a humanitarian catastrophe orchestrated by Vladimir Putin's Russia.

The town of Oleshky and its surrounding district in the occupied part of Kherson Oblast exist under Russian occupation as a prison — and it is rapidly turning into a death camp.

No one is allowed in or out. The last food delivery was on May 26. Medical supplies are close to non-existent.

За різними оцінками, там залишається понад 6 тисяч людей, серед них близько 200 дітей.

Росіяни перешкоджають людям залишати місто. Критична інфраструктура фактично зруйнована, електро- та газопостачання відсутні.

Все заміновано. Там не підвозять ліки та їжу. Там тіла людей на вулицях.

У 2023 році Олешки також пережили масштабне затоплення після підриву російськими військами греблі Каховської ГЕС.

The town is located across the Dnipro, it is not under assault.
The civilians in this town are trapped by russia oppression, for simply being Ukrainian.

Russia is doing this, to kill off the Ukrainians that live there, in order to repopulate it with russians.

It’s dehumanising to hear so many advocate for Ukraine to submit to Russian imperialism: the erasure of Ukrainian culture, language and identity, as is the policy being implemented in all Russian occupied areas. The violence being committed against civilians is horrific.
