My sister is completing a Master’s in Org Psych at the University of Manchester, and her dissertation investigates workplace ethics. She is running a survey and trying to collect as many responses as possible—it's very short, and you can find it here!

as much as I love the “explorers and humanity” angle, I think THIS is a much better way to convince people of the importance of having a well-funded space program.
people like to know how it benefits them directly.
i don’t have the words to express the joy, the pride, the awe that i’m feeling right now. welcome home, #ArtemisII, and here’s to the incredible future you have opened for us 🌙
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶
The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.
Liftoff.
The Artemis II mission launched from @NASAKennedy at 6:35pm ET (2235 UTC), propelling four astronauts on a journey around the Moon.
Artemis II will pave the way for future Moon landings, as well as the next giant leap — astronauts on Mars.
It may be true that STEM papers are less picky about the exact wordings of singular sentences, but it is foolish to pretend this carelessness has anything to do with a lack of need rather than a lack of care––and even moreso to say STEM papers dont make qualitative choices
OP’s ignorant take aside––one thing seemingly accepted as factual by both STEM & humanities is this idea that “STEM doesn’t care about wording”––which continues to assume that STEM is somehow objective and removed from the contextualisation and qualitative work other fields do
Why do academics in the humanities read their papers aloud, word for word, when they give talks at universities or at meetings, while scientists generally speak extemporaneously? If you read, you might as well just hand out the paper. It's a mystery.

To claim otherwise is to buy into the enduring myth that STEM research finds “objective truths” when this is almost never the case. Everything relies on the way it is framed, as much in STEM as in any other subject.

I was invited to give an interview on my experiences as an international PhD student at CUHK, and I’m so glad to have been given the opportunity to share! You can check the full interview in the link 💜💛
#CUHK Standout | Laura Uronen: Chasing Gravitational Waves at CUHK
From #theoreticalphysics to #astrophysics, Finnish PhD candidate Laura Uronen's journey at CUHK demonstrates how CUHK’s supportive environment and world-class research facilities empower students to push the boundaries of #scientificdiscovery.
Laura’s learning journey is further enhanced by CUHK’s extensive #globalcollaboration opportunities, which include generous financial support and international research partnerships. "Compared to my peers in Europe, CUHK students seem to be jet-setting all the time!" Laura notes, highlighting the unique opportunities for networking and professional growth.

Very proud to have been invited to contribute to this paper. It was a great deal of effort for everyone involved, and it is so rewarding to see it out. Take a look to see the exciting prospects of this emerging field!
Exciting news 🎉 The paper that follows last year’s Theo Murphy Royal Society meeting on multi-messenger lensing is finally out on arXiv. We cover approaches, forecasts, and many of the science cases for MM lensing in upcoming years! https://t.co/fsBLxlxpwm
