We talked with them, and VS decided it didn't warrant a new servicing release.

@jorgianfloren MvcCore is a little tricky as the 2.2 versions are deprecated but 2.1 will remain in support. If you're not relying on new APIs introduced in 2.2, you may be able to ref that package. @mkArtak

PSA: @dotnet "Current" releases have been renamed to "Standard term support (STS)" in a more intuitive contrast to "Long term support (LTS)". .NET 6 is LTS and .NET 7 is STS.

@dotNetCoreShow Ya, the https://t.co/YWKBedkijp team has not yet set up 21.10 for us to use. The .NET 6 packages are available in the 21.04 repo and these will work on 21.10.

@damageboy @runfaster2000 Cool. That script used the RC deb files to install so we'll need to remove them first. Run `apt autoremove dotnet-host` to do this. Then, follow the instructions at https://t.co/fMC7Ol78F3 to get set up for GA releases.

@jdamkewala @mairacw @pedrovc A bit of a clarification ... for security release, .NET Core will always track to patch Tuesday. There is a general desire to have most releases land on that day but, if it's not a security release, it may go later that same week or in the 3rd week of the month.
