Ethiopia: A realm of staggering absurdity.

The UN OCHA reports that "21 million people in Ethiopia need humanitarian assistance in 2024. $3B is required to meet these needs. The 16 April High-level Pledging Event in Geneva is an opportunity to mobilize urgent funding for life-saving response."

How does the international community, called upon to contribute $3 billion, reconcile this plea with the reported $15 billion expenditure by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on a private palace? Apologies, that is dated news.

What I meant to express is how does the international community perceive the commencement of a $5 billion construction project for the Oromia president's palace in Addis Ababa within 24 hours of UN OCHA's urgent appeal for donations to save lives in Ethiopia?

በየዘመናቱ ፋኖ ጃውሳን ሲዋጋ ኖሯል። ዛሬም ፋኖ ጃውሳን ይወጋል። ለክልሉ ሕዝብ ፋኖ መዳኛው ጃውሳ መጋኛው ነው። ፋኖና ጃውሳ የስንዴና የእንክርዳድ ያህል ይለያያሉ።

እንክርዳድ እንክርዳድ የተንከረደደ
ስንዴ መስሎ ገብቶ ስንቱን አሳበደ
የተባለውም ለዚሁ ነው።
እንክርዳድ ስንዴ እንደማይሆነው፤ ጃውሳ ፋኖ አይሆንም።
