They claimed he ran up to them braying and they thought they were in danger and shot and killed him after trying to taze him.

HeeHaw was raised in the house and did petting zoos he never knew a stranger. And was shot and killed in his OWN pasture for doing what donkeys do. Alerting to a stranger. There is no way this is legal! I will be taking legal action.

Thomas calls out my people, the Comanche, and our allies the Kiowa specifically here, and if I'm reading his argument correctly, I cannot be of Comanche ancestry and American at the same time, because it dilutes the meaning of the latter term.

Needless to say I disagree with him.

I have never wavered in thinking that the nucleus, the core of the American identity are White Americans. I know a lot of other NDNs feel this way.

From our perspective, there isn't a conflict there because our wars were concluded with treaties, much like what happened in New Zealand with my girlfriend's people, the Māori.

There will always be liberals among NDNs just like there will always be liberals among Whites. It's the nature of liberals to be grabby, to focus on division and grievance, to try to milk the system, because that's what liberals do.

But liberals are not the majority among NDNs. They're just the loudest minority. They're outnumbered by conservatives, as evidenced by our high participation in the military. Then there is a demographic lump in the middle who we could call centrists, but they're really just politically apathetic.

Thomas would do well to actually visit some NDNs and see how we live. The majority (more than 80%) are very well assimilated and live in society, not on reservations. Only about 20% or less live on the Rez.

In saying what I'm saying, I think a lot of nominally White Americans will understand what I'm saying. If you have any NDN ancestry at all, you're one of us. You're American and you have your NDN nation.

There's no conflict there. No dilution of meaning because part of the American evolution was the Indian Wars. You affected us, we affected you.

You're not Europeans anymore, partly because of us.

It makes me sad to see Thomas regard us in this way, because if I'd seen him or his people being attacked on the street, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to jump in and fight for them. If his family was in danger, I'd die to protect them.

Like my White adoptive parents, you're all my family.
