Just because someone can do something doesn't mean they've done it well. Especially when there's $ to be made in scientific publishing.

In this case, the prevalence of covid infection makes it hard to prove your hypothesis. Also, the variety of covid vaccine means you have to study each separately, or at least types.

You'll have difficulty getting solid data to rule out covid infection as the main cause unless you get statistically significant number of vaxxed but never caught covid study subjects.
