@HelpATeacher Yes Most definitely - it’s like not allowing pupils who need glasses to wear them. Obviously there are some how game the system with dodgy diagnosis but that can be worked on.
@katievscancer@ThanksCancer Sprite and saltines (if you are in UK water crackers, Tuc, maybe Ritz) in tiny bites. Also rich tea biscuits (for some reason the rectangular ones were easier to nibble) applesauce and dry toast.
@maddyhd_ Missed the poll but I was diagnosed at 39. Somehow managed to graduate both university (read French at a huge US uni) and graduate school (MBA at Northwestern).
Am proud but what I would give to have that opportunity knowing there was indeed a reason things felt so much harder
As war breaks out in Ukraine, the UN Refugee Agency calls on "governments in neighboring countries...to keep borders open to those seeking safety and protection." In other words, don't treat Ukrainians the way many of you treated Afghans and Syrians. https://t.co/BayElM0co1
It is totally immoral that the Home Office is still applying normal visa restrictions to those fleeing Ukraine.
The Government must urgently provide a simple sanctuary route to the UK for all who need it. This is our moral duty.
The Albanian ambassador to the UN just announced that the 4th poorest country in Europe, with a GDP per capita just 10% of the UK, just told the Security Council that his country will take refugees from Ukraine. The UK's refusal to welcome Ukrainian refugees shames our country.
