@MattMcDonald013 @scootersfarm We went from 10” back to 7.5” for weed competition. Takes stubble management, 1st year is worst as long as you are cut low at harvest it’s ok. Still getting weeds, we are big believers in trying to keep as much pressure on as we can. Also run high seed rates

@Rainmaker1973 Remember having this argument with a soil science lecturer an eon ago. As a country kid it was obvious to me that dry soil didn't take rain as quickly as damp soil, he was adamant that there was a higher infiltration rate. Cover helps though.
