@SundaeDivine If they secede / "secdee", it will destroy their economy. It will take time to forge diplomatic relationships and international trade agreements. Maybe the U.S. and Mexico will agree to something soon but they'll have the upper hand.

@Logically_JC A common theme of these churches is a culture of deference to authority. Followers are not supposed to think for themselves, but obediently follow instructions from their church leaders with unwavering and unquestioning faith. Their bonding with maga makes lots of sense to me.

@bruce_steiner Without 67 votes in the Senate to convict, it probably won't amount to anything but a show. There's a chance he might resign to avoid impeachment on his record but I doubt it. A better focus would be to expand the Supreme Court.
