“My mom used to have a saying. 'Joey as long as you’re alive, you have an obligation to strive and you're not dead until you see the face of God.' Whatever my legacy may be I hope it be said that I never stopped striving for the cause of democracy."- President Joe Biden
Wonderful to be @USSConstMuseum Leadership Forum yesterday featuring @NCAA Pres & former Gov @CharlieBakerMA speaking with @MeetBostonUSA Pres/CEO Martha Sheridan. Thoughtful insights on building strong teams-active listening, problem-solving and a culture that values both.
I asked Doc Rivers about why he’s been so willing to speak out on social issues, knowing that there are consequences:
“I just think when things are morally wrong, it shouldn't be me; it should be everybody in this room. It should be everybody if you feel strongly about it. What we see on the streets right now, you cannot morally feel good about that. No American can, and that's why I speak out. And I do tell our guys there are consequences. You know, there was an Arthur Ashe, there was a Muhammad Ali, there was a Howard Cosell. They all spoke out, and some paid consequences for it. That's just part it.”
Editorial— In a remarkable decision this week, US District Court Judge Anna Reyes blasted away at the Trump regime’s moral corruption and the white supremacist impulses that animate his attempt to purge the country of Black and brown people.

Governor:
When they surge into Mass and commit atrocities on our streets— and seek to cover it up — will you and our other constitutional officers have a team in place to ID, detain, arrest and charge, and prosecute the offending agents? It's essential that we do.

Beautiful day DudleyJazzFest @ Mary Hannon Playground on Dudley Street, my neighborhood! Come by, other artists performing until 6pm.
I watched Fred Woodard Collective jamming and folks visiting the many vendors. @DotNews interviewed Fred last year https://t.co/dsgXFeaYQY
If you're heading to Dudley Street for the Jazz festival, swing by a wonderful addition at @DahliasGarden for Cafe Bleu highlighted In @DotNews! They have a creative special "Cafe con Flores" sip & sniff. I just stopped by.
At the end of the day, the top 1% may have enormous wealth and power, but they are just 1%.
When the 99% stand together, we can transform our country.
