The Premier League need to get a firm grip on refereeing standards and decisions pronto, because if I'm right ( reading a lot of tweets from supporters of ALL clubs since the King decision) the concern about standards is at, if not beyond tipping point.
We no longer know what is being punished and why and it's making many a game simply unwatchable.
Listen to people @premierleague @FA_PGMOL, you're losing the room.
Mismanagement doesn't begin to describe the incompetence with which Manchester United has been run. For years, rivals have pointed to our spending & never understood why fans have been so anti-Glazer.
INEOS are now answering for 20 years of the Glazers. Make no mistake about it. Before tax, £313m has been lost in the last three years. No profits since 2018/19. £131m lost in 2023/24. Bad performance. Bad recruitment. Bad sales. Bad ownership.
Every league place is £2.8m less in prize money. Broadcasting revenues slumping because of no CL. Nearly £700m spent under Erik ten Hag. £966m the last five years. Meanwhile they are the only current PL club who has had no owner funding put in.
£391m in transfer debt. £100m on managerial changes & executive departures post Sir Alex, £731m in gross debt, £210m on the revolving credit facility, £834m paid in interest on the debt, £1.12 billion in total debt as it stands today. The bills are coming due.
INEOS can't say it because of legal reasons, but there is no other way because of the Glazers. They are why we are here today.
Seriously, what is going on with Chelsea? 1) How are they being allowed to keep spending like this and have a ridiculous squad size & 2) why would any player want to be part of it right now?
🚨🔵 Chelsea have already reached an agreement with Pedro Neto’s agent Jorge Mendes.
No issues on salary, club to club talks ongoing to get the deal done as initial request is around £60m.
He’s top of the list for new winger. 🇹
Am I the only one that doesn’t think this was a penalty? Armstrong literally jumps sideways to put his leg in front of the defender, making sure of contact + is pulling his shirt. A really good decision imho
"It's a terrible challenge. That for me is a clear penalty."
@alanshearer can't believe Scotland were not awarded a penalty for this challenge on Stuart Armstrong 🗣
