Speaking of holy land, ancient Eritrea was addressed as a holy land. It's mentioned in ancient Egyptian literature.

Whether whatever he is smoking is the cause, or he genuinely believes it, I’m buying whatever he is selling.

Perhaps when he calls Eritrea the “Holy Land,” he is referring to the kindness, dignity, resilience, and peaceful nature of the Eritrean people.

Or maybe he is referring to the sacred land where our martyrs rest, heroes and heroines who sacrificed everything so Eritrea could stand free and sovereign.

If that is what he means by holiness, then he may not be entirely wrong.
