Prof. S Chiotha, Director of LEADSEA, shared his extensive knowledge and expertise on climate change. The journalists received hands-on training at LEADSEA’s weather station, which provided them with practical experience in interpreting and reporting climate data.
LEADSEA recently hosted a group of community radio journalists from across Malawi for a learning visit, in collaboration with the Network for Climate Journalists. The visit aimed to enhance the journalists' understanding and reporting of climate change.

Introducing "Invasive Weeds And Land Restoration" by Rita Nyaga 🌿🌍
As we plan to plant trees to care for Mother Earth, it's crucial to avoid introducing invasive species that can harm ecosystems and the well-being of humans and other living organisms.
5 June, serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to care for our environment. But for a truly sustainable and thriving world, we must make every day a day for the environment.
Let's go beyond 5 June and commit to conscious actions that protect and nurture our planet.
The theme of that session was "Land Use Management," which fortuitously aligns with the 2024 World Environment Day theme focused on Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience.
As we celebrate World Environment Day, the director, management and staff of LEADSEA congratulate LEAD MEXICO and the people of Mexico on the historic occasion of Claudia Sheinbaum ascending to the high office as the First Female President of Mexico.
Her Excellency Claudia Sheinbaum is a Cohort 5 LEAD fellow. LEADSEA had the honor of hosting the graduation session for 200 Global LEAD Cohort 5 fellows of 1998 in Harare, Zimbabwe.
