@ZelenskyyUa I am a nobody American, but I admire your strength today and apologize for the fools who tried unsuccessfully to steal your dignity. This American stands with Ukraine.
@PastorTrey05 I've been an IT manager and a financial manager. A financial audit reviews the financial activity that occured in a computer system, not the code the system runs on. That would be like looking at someone's bone structure to determine if they ran a red light.
@ArtCandee And nearly all those folks in the nursing homes as Medicare no longer covers long term care so it's either self pay, or Medicaid, or really rarely, long term care insurance.
@MotherJones Since Medicaid pays for the majority of nursing home care, institutions won't be available to those unable to access Medicaid funded at-home-care either. It really appears death might be the only answer.
@Dean_Winnipeg American here, sadly, the people who will be hurt are not the decision makers. They'll be cushioned by their billions. We poor folks are screaming into what feels like deaf ears. Signed, collateral damage
As many church leaders in my red state who were apoplectic about public health guidance, yelling about 1st amendment rights & refusing to wear masks, have unsurprisingly failed to cry out in protest over ICE in churches. So it wasn't really about freedom of worship was it?
@tracesoffaith Sadly, the "volunteer" teams are usually given tasks that are so menial as to be unnecessary because leadership is unwilling to share power. Praise team is frequently the group with the most influence and therefore very very carefully vetted. And sometimes bounced.
@EWErickson@MikeCosper If he's that worried about what the ethics committee might release, just imagine how vulnerable he would have been to actual blackmail.
@luinalaska And, if they're not currently destroyed by what the pack says about them, they're joining with the pack to laugh at some other poor kiddo who's been recently rolled to the outer perimeter. They desperately wanna be "in."
I never had a faith crisis moment where I woke up and realized "Oh my gosh, I don't believe this." I had a faith crisis moment looking around at everyone else in church and realizing, "Oh my gosh, THEY don't believe it."
@PastorBenMarsh When they voted for a candidate assuming he won't do some things he said he would and will do other things he said he would, how do they decide which is which?
The evangelical church has suckled at the toxic breast of right-wing "news" media which is delighted to spoon feed fear and hate because it's so dang profitable and at the same time assert no reasonable person would believe them, as they're just entertainment.
@janjowen Same. I (who never cry) cried on my husband at how mean church people AND FRIENDS AND FAMILY in my community have become. Like, out loud and unfiltered.
KY soundly defeated a school choice amendment. Defeated in every single county. Then voted for DJT, two to one. Who has pledged support for public tax dollars for private schools and has promised to work with Congress to make it a federal law. Leopards eating faces, y'all
