have 2 say btw one of the worst things about being an adult is having to go to the fucken shop. it is relentless. you always need to get something from the shop. every day I am in the shop.
it’s unfair of people to expect you to handle the full range of their emotions/sensitivity when they refuse to hold any capacity for yours. people who do this are usually unfamiliar with emotional availability - don’t let them inhibit your desire to fully express yourself, too
Be better today, than you were yesterday. When tomorrow comes, be better than you were today. The most beautiful part of life is being able to learn, grow and expand as a person.
It’s a really humbling experience to realise your friends don’t place you on the same level of importance that you place them on. A necessary but humbling realisation.
this is your reminder to keep going. you may not be seeing results right now but keep going. you will see them soon enough. do it because you love it not because anyone else approves it. this part of your story was always about you. remember why you started and keep going.
Something that’s really tiring is knowing you want to forgive but it feels like you physically can’t let something go or you genuinely don’t know how. The last thing I wanna do is carry around a heavy burden or anger but I really don’t know how to get it off of me.
I’ve noticed that when some people are held accountable for their actions (no matter how respectfully) and feel blamed/threatened as a result, there’s often a sudden inability to look outside of themselves or consider other’s perspectives and emotions - it’s like a switch flips
