I have absolutely no problem with male 'experts' on panels, as long as they are genuinely experts and not just taking up a valuable space because they are men.
• April 2020: My god what if there’s never a vaccine?!
• December 2020: Will these vaccines even work?
• March 2021: Ok the vaccines work but Canada won’t get them until 2023!
• June 2021: Okay, but do you have this vaccine in sparkling pomegranate?
@JILLSLASTWORD@JoshMatlow - while TTC staff are FINALLY eligible, my concern is now ACCESSIBILITY to the vaccination. They should not be running around fighting for a spot on their free time. Take the vaccination to them with targeted clinics and get them all done in a few days.
@JohnTory@JoshMatlow - yesterday waiting in line for a vaccination I was upset to see folks in TTC uniforms also having to rush to pop-ups and wait. Why have there not been targeted vaccination pop-ups for TTC workers only? They are at risk everyday with folks who refuse to mask
@JILLSLASTWORD@fordnation Thank-you @JILLSLASTWORD for your response. I live in St. Pauls and you are doing a great job for our community and our Province as our MPP.
If you feel tempted to post a photo of young people gathering outside as an example of stupidity, post a photo of an overcrowded classroom instead. The stupidity of our Ontario government and what they've allowed inside classrooms is far more dangerous than outdoor gatherings.
This has to change. We don’t want people congregating indoors for a drink during a pandemic. Many live in apartments without a balcony. Those who behave badly in parks, do it regardless of by-laws. Let’s allow grown ups to enjoy a drink together, safely & responsibly, outdoors.
50% of Toronto’s COVID cases have been people on low incomes.
79% of cases are racialized people.
60%+ of workplace outbreaks have been in frontline settings like food processing and warehouses.
No lockdown will protect workers if they can’t stay home if sick. Paid sick leave.
