"Our partnership continues to adapt to new times. We now find ourselves at the forefront of a global transformation - the search for a way of living that is at once prosperous, humane and sustainable. Here, as elsewhere, Britain and Germany stand shoulder to shoulder – guided not only by technology and science, but by conscience."
During last night’s State Banquet at Windsor Castle, The King spoke of the deep friendship between the United Kingdom and Germany and of their continued belief in democracy, freedom and the rule of law.

Of the 39 Palestinians released yesterday 28 had never been charged; 15 were children.
In any sane analysis all were the victims of State kidnapping.
Incredible that this piece of journalism appeared on CNN.
It should be shared.
You can see from the body language that the prisoners were treated with respect and dignity
This is interesting because the IDF is infamous for beating, raping, and torturing their prisoners
It seems they are always doing what they accuse their enemies of
What protects me from #Israel a disregarded border?
Do you know what it feels like to lose sleep?
Where your eyes close but your heart jumps at every sound,
Where you mistake the faint sound of cars for missiles,
I do.
We do.
Arabs do.
Just #CeaseFireInGaza ENOUGH!

Honestly one of the most developmental event in my career @TheAdvocacyTeam was amazing connecting @embrace_lebanon to so many diverse stakeholders. We’re not done London ✌🏼
Embrace, in collaboration with @TheAdvocacyTeam, held its first roundtable discussion on #MentalHealth in #Lebanon in #London, discussing the challenges & gaps in addressing Lebanons ’silent epidemic’ the country is facing amidst its ongoing socio-economic & political impasse.
@embrace_lebanon attending the 7th #Brussels Conference as part of the #Lebanese local CSOs delegation. Representation, democracy, public wellbeing& self constitution are the priorities from local discussions but will they be priorities at the ministerial meeting tomorrow?
The difference between 1.5°C & 3°C global warming means vastly different scenarios for the future.

Our first policy brief @embrace_lebanon in partnership with @ifi_aub is now out.
It is only through these kinds of multi-stakeholder collaborations that we can hope to make nation-wide change.
#Suicide is a critical public health problem and in #Lebanon has garnered increased media attention in recent years. #Media plays a pivotal role in #suicideprevention if we are all collaborating right, and can be a lifeline that saves hundreds of lives.

An endorsement of this kind from the Ministry of Information in #Lebanon and in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and local and international organizations is the kind of multi-stakeholder collaboration we need more of in order to address critical public health issues such as #suicide in the #media which can play one of the most pivotal roles in #suicideprevention. Thank you @ZiadMakary for pushing forward this agenda.
