@trent_dan Doesn't really matter who is right and who is wrong, staying safe is the most important thing. Undertaking a car indicating to turn left is moronic as you're relying on that driver seeing you. You know what they're going to do, why put yourself in that position?

And agree, the new road from Houlton to town was a missed opportunity, same with the development on Ashlawn Road needing a decent cycle route up Dunchurch and / Barby Road.

@photographer_er @EngineerLondon @TLRailUK A lot of tunnels use a contact beam, made of aluminium normally, which carries the contact wire. This allows the contact wire to be continuous, is more rigid and means the installation can be closer to the roof of the tunnel than typical OLE construction would allow.

@photographer_er @EngineerLondon @TLRailUK You are correct. The lights are for Pantograph cameras which is invaluable when trying to identify faults with either the contact wire or the pantograph.

@carlafrancome The trick in heavy traffic is to act like a car. Take primary position on the road, smack in the middle of your lane. Use hand signals a lot when changing direction at all for overtaking parked cars etc.

Only ride close to kerb (give yourself 1m or so) when traffic is flowing

@GilderanRahl I have the @HiveHomeUK equivalent and they are pretty good. Takes a little while to get them setup and the schedules sorted out but once you do the level of Control is great.

Each room has a set schedule so the boiler is only ever heating rooms you want it to.

@Backpainandwine Spend £1k on a decent road bike, £600 on a mid range turbo, £500 on a tablet or a laptop and Zwift for £13 a month. You then have a decent road bike for the nice weather, turbo for when it isn't and a nice new laptop AND saved yourself money.
