@Anthony01858110@henry_benn51461@Peter_Fitz We are completely off grid because mains power cost more to connect even though we are only 5kms from town. We have a 6.6kw system, 12kwh batteries and it doesn't take hours to reach 100%. Power is stored even on cloudy days and it runs a normal household including hot water.
@BelindaTeaches@RiverOfCrows It is not a law. I work in a bank, and I would go back and request that they submit an application. Your mother will be required to provide proof of income, so be prepared to have a statement from the super fund of benefits being received in her name. 1/2
@simonahac We have lived completely on solar & battery power for over 10 years. It was a choice as the setup costs were lower than connecting to the grid, even though we are less than 4 km from town. We live very comfortably and don't rely on the expensive, and often unreliable, system.
@lennyb123@vanbadham I agree that women shouldn't have to leave, however the law can't always guarantee he won't return to do worse because he knows where she is - no hiding and left unprotected again.
@JoshBack10@lydian1904@georgiedent Yes, let's look at QLD. Low numbers, living without many restrictions and no masks until told to open the borders or lose support from the Federal Government. I know who I'd choose & it wouldn't be Scotty - or Perrotet.
@sallymcmanus We were living well in Queensland and were constantly told to open the borders. It's open now and because of the stupidity in NSW government on letting it rip and having it invade we are expected to wear masks. I do not blame the QLD govt, we have to protect our way of life.
