The final toll of Russia's 14 May missile strike on a Kyiv apartment block is 24 dead and 48 wounded, after a 28-hour search-and-rescue ended on 15 May. Three of the dead were girls aged 12, 15, and 17.

Among those killed was Liubava Yakovlieva, a 12-year-old 6th-grader. She when a Russian Kh-101 missile destroyed her apartment stairwell. Her father, Yevhen, a Ukrainian soldier with the call sign "Ryzhyi," fell in combat three years ago.

Nearly 400 people received psychological support from emergency services on site.

A Day of Mourning has been declared in the Ukrainian capital.
