@SFMayorKeith Unfortunately, our city is controlled by special interests, who make decisions for our incumbent politicians, who, in turn, try to convince their constituents to do the same and jump on board. Rank Keith Freedman #1 for mayor!
@whentoletgo Myrna Melgar supports the voice of special interests over her own constituents. She has done this time & time again. It's time for change in D7.
@awong_SF What I don't understand is that if enrollment is dropping and class sizes shrinking, then students should be getting more attention and care, not less. If we sit down and speak honestly with the stakeholders, teachers, students, and parents, then I am confident we can resolve it.
@eyessfboe @KTSF26@Matt4D7@Geelong3215@LeannaLouieSF@openthegreathwy Awesome No On K Rally today in Chinatown. Thank you to all the candidates, Leanna Louie, Matt Boschetto, Laurance Lee, Stephen Martin-Pinto, Richard Woon, Moe Jamil, Mark Farrell, and Matt Susk, for coming out & showing your support. If I missed anyone, please forgive me.
@minchangsf@jilltucker@DanielleEchev@sfchronicle As Min said, we should be doing everything we can to keep our schools open. At the same time, are we at risk of a state takeover if we do not resolve our budget shortfall? I'm Interested to hear what the community thinks.
@SusanDReynolds@WestsideAsians I agree. Special interest money and propaganda are being used to override common sense. But don't take my word for it. Just look at the comments following this news clip from KTVU FOX 2.

@eyessfboe @sfguardians@jaravis Thank you Laurance for advocating for our public schools! You are the type of leader our Board of Education needs right now. Please vote for Laurance in November.
@JoelEngardio "As we plan this park, we can ensure westside residents can still get to work, take their kids to school, drive an elderly parent to the doctor.... "
How will you ensure this? And why is it being called "Great Hwy Park" when we haven't voted on it yet? https://t.co/Tcg3BUwLUI
@Scott_Wiener A "huge success" by what standard? Closing roadways only diverts traffic to other parts of the city, increasing congestion, commute times, and risk for accidents. The cars do not just go away. San Franciscans are not cool with these changes. Please keep the Great Hwy open.
@informed168@marcjoffe I agree Gina. It's ironic how Sacramento, plagued with its own budget, accountability, and leadership problems, is somehow going to fix the schools in San Francisco.
@StreetsblogSF West Portal is fine the way it is. Ms. Janelleย Wong, interim executive director at SF Transit Riders, formerly led the SF Bicycle Coalition, an organization more concerned with adding bike lanes and removing cars from our streets than improving public safety.
