I was proud to work with President Trump defending America at the United Nations. I wish him, and all who serve, great success in moving us forward to a stronger, safer America over the next four years.
recently i started telling candidates right in the first interview that greptile offers no work-life-balance, typical workdays start at 9am and end at 11pm, often later, and we work saturdays, sometimes also sundays. i emphasize the environment is high stress, and there is no tolerance for poor work.
it felt wrong to do this at first but i’m convinced now that the transparency is good, and i’d much rather people know this from the get go rather than find out on their first day.
curious if other people do this and if there’s some obvious pitfall i’m missing.
I have a few NYC observations
1) New York City is still the best big city in America
It is walkable, dense, diverse, and has excellent food, shopping, and arts
2) Much of NYC infrastructure is old and not in a good way.
I was amazed that there still is not cell service between a lot of the subway stops in 2024
The trains are old, a bit dilapidated, comically noisy at times, slow, etc — but at least they do run 24H
3) lots of dog poop on the sidewalks in SoHo
4) I’ve seen some “crazy” people aka mentally ill and threatening — but if I’m being honest it is probably worse in Austin and other cities
this is an embarrassment for America and I hope we get these people more help somehow and off the streets
5) Less outdoor dining
6) CitiBikes are almost all electric now??
That’s all for now! Going to see the Broadway show tonight and dinner at Jack’s Wife Frieda now
@shaunmmaguire so what happens when you extend the x axis backwards three years? also showing the expected jump in user seconds the day of an election says absolutely nothing lol
We @sequoia invested $800m into the @X take private
We were ridiculed for two years for it
But I’m confident we’ll get the last laugh
Never bet against Elon
What’s your ideal Trump cabinet look like? I’ll go first.
David Sacks - Secretary of State
Chamath - Treasury Secretary
Friedberg - Head of FDA
JCal - Press Secretary
