Section 44(3) of the Data Protection Act, which amends Section 8(1)(j) of the RTI law to exempt disclosure of all personal information, has been operationalized with immediate effect. Why this rush to restrict people’s right to information @GoI_MeitY when many core sections of the DPDP law will come into effect only after 18 months?

बिहार की एक बड़ी संख्या में जनता नादान है। उसके लिए मुद्दा तो हैं ही तमाम। लेकिन उससे ज्यादा मायने रखती है – Saftey & Security. आज बहन-बेटी रात के 12 बजे भी घर से बाहर निकल सकती है, ये किसी और मुद्दा से ज्यादा बड़ा मुद्दा है, जिसको नीतीश कुमार ने कर के दिखाया। जीत इसी बात की है।
