@WestLothianSGP Not the fault of bus operators, so a somewhat unfair statement. Do you expect them to run at a loss? Services are withdrawn because they're commercially unviable. Basic economics.
@Sirlebert @johnadgrady Edinburgh Council, along with Midlothian, East Lothian & West Lothian Councils are shareholders in Lothian Buses. As shareholders they expect a dividend from the Lothian Buses, like any other shareholder does from a business.
@WanderingStair @RevRichardColes @TfL As an ex Lothian Bus driver, CCTV can also be used in favour of the driver. I was accused by a passenger of stopping well past the bus stop due to excessive speed. CCTV showed otherwise. The passenger was subsequently advised on the correct method of hailing a bus.
@bugsy_7@on_lothianbuses You asked where about in the drivers handbook rules for this situation existed. I've merely pointed out those rules, which the driver has followed.
@WullieHalliday@on_lothianbuses Evidence? Location. Bus number. Reg number. What time the bus was at the terminus when he had a shit. Photos of the shit & tickets. Good. Now stick in a complaint via official channels, via link on their website or customer services number.
@EnvokenK@inquisitor111@on_lothianbuses How did they get to Fa'side Avenue? Did they magically appear? No, they've been on the road since early morning and running late, most likely due to traffic congestion suffered throughout the day. But you probably knew that anyway.
@EnvokenK@ELCouncil@PoliceScotland@on_lothianbuses Take the time to put a proper complaint in to Lothian Buses. They asked you to do that in a previous tweet. You have bus info that will identify driver. Chances are if buses are running empty through the area they'll be withdrawn at next service change.
@LOC_Locatelli @on_lothianbuses Scottish Government, Police Scotland & Met Office have issued a formal 'do not travel notice' for tomorrow. Hopefully Lothian will take heed and follow other transport operators by suspending services tomorrow.
