@jungleskellam @theo I think a big obstacle is context window. SOTA models are better than most engineers for short tasks, but they start hallucinating after their context reaches ~200k+ tokens, they lack good long term memory. I think the breakthrough could happen if this gets solved somehow.

@BWay124 @waitbutwhy @elonmusk Context/memory is the biggest issue imo. It's like someone with perfect short term memory and catastrophic medium-long term memory. AI also doesn't admit it when it doesn't know something, it just spits the most likely answer and that's really dangerous in some cases.
