Well — our entire knowledge of the Greco-Roman world comes from about 500 volumes. 700,000 scrolls were potentially lost at Alexandria alone.

It’s so repeatedly terrible it must be planned. Amounts to incompetence of a level I thought impossible to achieve

@clifford0584 Those who question/judge such a decisions Tom often do it from a place of bitterness and/or jealousy that they themselves didn’t have the strength or courage to make a similar decision. You’re doing exactly the right thing, objectively given current NHS and I’m sure personally.

The GMC masquerading as a charity is almost as ridiculous as it masquerading as a fair and competent regulator. You honestly couldn’t make this up. It wouldn’t even be believable in the pages of a dystopian novel.

I submitted an FOI request to the GMC asking them about the tax they pay.

Turns out, the GMC do not pay tax. They class doctors' fees as charity.

They take £500/yr from doctors, pay zero tax on it, and use it to give their staff £250k salaries and private healthcare.

…during final year = bin bag and laminate piece of A4 with tourniquet headband as a makeshift visor. I caught covid 3 times during my foundation years. Doctor exposure to covid during lockdown was exponentially more than other sectors/gen’ public. Recognition is needed.
