I said it was unlikely a board would naturally enter in such a situation during a real chess match. You can create an near infinite amount or and almost impossible chess puzzle board states, doesn't make it likely.

Stalemate is ultimately just a logical consequence of turn based game and the concept of illegal moves. Why it doesn't in timed it just consistently and chess players find playing for mate more interesting.
