@MetamateDaz your $2,000 rent is “all in”: maintenance, property tax, insurance (some utilities). a $1,500 mortgage is just for the loan. the other stuff is on YOU still… and the bank is looking out 30 yrs. Someone who can afford $2,000 rent may not be able to afford a $1,500 mortgage.
