@mkhammer For Ruth Rendell fans, his narration of "Portobello" is recommended! I can still hear him going on about "Choc-Orange" candies...
(I didn't know he also narrated one of her Wexford books, which I heard with a different narrator.)

Rest in Peace, Tim Curry ๐๏ธ๐ฌ
Another legendary talent has left us. Tim Curry has passed away at the age of 80. ๐
What an incredible career and legacy he leaves behind. Tim Curry was one of those actors who could completely disappear into a character. He could make you laugh, scare you to death, or steal an entire movie with just his voice and personality.
For generations of fans, he will forever be remembered for some unforgettable roles:
๐ฌ Dr. Frank-N-Furter โ The Rocky Horror Picture Show
๐ Pennywise โ Stephen King's IT
๐ Wadsworth โ Clue
๐ Darkness โ Legend
๐จ The unforgettable hotel concierge โ Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
โ Long John Silver โ Muppet Treasure Island
๐ถ Rooster โ Annie
โ๏ธ Cardinal Richelieu โ The Three Musketeers
๐ข Dr. Petrov โ The Hunt for Red October
And his talent went far beyond movies. He was an accomplished stage performer, singer and one of the most recognizable voice actors of his generation, including the voice of Nigel Thornberry in The Wild Thornberrys. He earned three Tony Award nominations and won a Daytime Emmy.
After suffering a major stroke in 2012, Tim faced years of rehabilitation but continued working, making appearances and connecting with the fans who had loved him for decades.
From Rocky Horror to IT to Clue, there really was nobody else quite like Tim Curry.
Thank you for the laughter, the scares, the music and all those unforgettable characters.
Rest peacefully, Tim Curry. ๐๏ธโค๏ธ

@prowrstlngstrng It's easy to get state abbreviations mixed up! This race is in Michigan. Speaking of mixups, Wikipedia's page about MI House elections mistakenly shows a photo of Bouchard's 70-yr-old father, not him!
Steven Spielberg mourns "Jurassic Park" star Sam Neill:
"I owe a debt of gratitude to Roger Donaldson, Gilliam Armstrong, Graham Baker and Phillip Noyce for casting Sam Neill in the roles in which he was so brilliant that brought him to my attention and led to his playing Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park.ย Sam was exceptionally collaborative. It was a stretch for him to play a character who acted as though children were messy and smelly because this was the opposite of the loving father he was to his children.ย I adored making all the Jurassic movies with him.ย Along with Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, we will always have our Jurassic family and Sam will never be forgotten by us or his many millions of fans around the world."

To celebrate America's 250th anniversary, the USGS has created a new portrait of the nation using imagery from Landsat 8 and Landsat 9.
For more than 50 years, the @USGS and @NASA Landsat program has provided a continuous record of Earth's changing land surface. This new mosaic showcases the incredible diversity of the United States, from the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest to the Everglades of Florida, from the Rocky Mountains to the agricultural heartland of the Great Plains.
It also continues a tradition that began in 1976, when Landsat imagery was used to create "Portrait U.S.A." for the nation's bicentennial.
