Multiple voting is an offence. Real-time roll mark off occurs at all pre-poll centres & many polling day booths. All declaration votes are also subject to strict roll checks.

@auusiepatriot @joeldavisx I think they were trying to explain that as voting is secret there is no way of knowing which vote was a multi vote. They would reconcile the paper voting lists to ascertain who has/hasn’t voted or even voted multiple times. Think it’s the same process as for other elections

Not only are there scrutineers to make sure it’s all above board, after working from 7am to sometimes well after 11pm you can’t be bothered rigging the system you just want to go to bed! 😂

Electronic mark off on polling day would be nice, but with 7k+ polling places that’s a lot of PC’s that taxpayers would need to buy
