I'm starting an academic #blog ! ✍️⚛️

I'll post about topics ranging from physics (you've got me, mostly condensed matter and quantum information), my grad-school experience and other tid-bits.
Let me know if you have any advice!

@rpa_queiroz What resources would you suggest checking out to learn more about topology in condensed matter systems?
I also enjoyed the very clean and easy to follow presentation with great visuals! A lot of skills I definitely have to pickup.
1/2 Really interesting colloquium talk @Rutgers given by Prof. @rpa_queiroz from @ColumbiaQuantum today (3/1).
I enjoyed learning about universal signatures of topology and the non-localizability of wannier states shown in the real-part of the local Green's function.
This week's "View from the arXiv" is now live! Today we look at new preprints on many-body localisation (MBL) in 2D, machine learning approaches to MBL, SYK models, time crystals and more! Please do check it out and share! 📖📘 https://t.co/BqH2fK7ur3 #viewfromthearXiv#physics

This week's new post on my academic blog: a short guide to renormalisation group methods in condensed matter physics, based on a talk I gave a few years ago. Please check it out and consider sharing if you like it!

I love teaching Math History because I learn so much more each time.
This round I did a deep-dive on the history of linear algebra. The ancient Chinese first studied systems of linear equations, and came up with Gaussian elimination 2,000 years before Gauss!
Cool stuff.
If you want to know more about the intriguing connection of tango and the physics of strong correlations, check out my latest talk at the Trinity College Science Society.
See the detailed program for our Young Researchers' session https://t.co/ZVKDszUxWE ! These talks will have 3 min for questions. The long talks will have 10 min. So I hope to have great discussions! There are no fees, everybody is welcome to join! @d_mockli@VirtualSciForum
When scientists move into new fields, they bring novel approaches and techniques that can be transformative. This new @SimonsFdn program will enable researchers to make the intellectual pivots that will potentially benefit both their old and new fields. https://t.co/p0yRst8DMj
A research coverage piece by the Cavendish Laboratories @DeptofPhysics about @ShovanDutta20 and my recent published work as a Physical Review Research Letter!

In the world of fundamental particles, you are either a fermion or a boson but a new study from @liamlhlau and @ShovanDutta20 shows, for the first time, that one can behave as the other as they move from one place to another:
