Hey guys, I’ve just heard the sad news. I grew up hearing about ‘Kath on Reception’ and thought it’d give us all a few giggles when I made the account a few years back. It’s came to an end now so I’ll rename the account shortly. Here’s to you Kath ♥️👑
@campbellclaret@RestIsPolitics How come there's always a bad guy? From 45 to about 91 it was the Soviets, then it was sadam, gadaffi and Osama, now it's Putin again and Assad. Seems like it's nearly necessary to find one
@TheDagda__ @EamonRyan The wisdom of the crowds.... doctoring the emissions report from SEAI, importing wood chips for burning, arguing with friends of the earth on the radio, our inland rivers being polluted by irish water, you have no right to talk down to the electorate which spoke emphatically
"Quadcopters were emitting baby sounds, playing sounds of screaming women."
Palestinians in Gaza say Israel has been using small quadcopter drones, equipped with loudspeakers, to lure them out of their homes and then shoot them. #GazaCrimes
Those who cheered on and facilitated Israel's genocide must face a reckoning.
If they do not, then they will keep marching from crime scene to crime scene, their trail of death and destruction never ending.

@OrielCelt @JohnOBrennan2 They're a joke, Irish water, the biggest polluter of our inland waterways on their watch, consistently brought before the courts but the courts never given any teeth to change behaviour. Ranked third by friends of the earth on green manifesto says it all
Today Netanyahu's gov't approved a resolution to sanction Haaretz - halting any state advertising, state funded subscriptions or any other "connections" with the paper.
We will not be deterred.

The Israeli Cabinet on Sunday unanimously agreed to sanction Haaretz, the country's oldest newspaper, citing its critical coverage of the Israel-Hamas war, @sarafischer writes

The misnamed Hope Not Hate "anti-racism" group – much loved by the Guardian and Billy Bragg – is having to cancel events because of threats of violence from an emboldened far-right.
That's the same Hope Not Hate that helped weaponise antisemitism against Corbyn and the real anti-racist left in order to hound them out of the Labour party, easing the path to power of the genocide-supporting Starmerites.
In other words, Hope Not Hate helped destroy hope of political change and ensured hate – of Palestinian rights – was at the heart of Labour foreign policy.
Now the group – backed by the Guardian – has the nerve to emote over its troubles because the far-right is on the rise. Of course, it is. Hope Not Hate empowered the violent far right by smearing real progressive, anti-racist politics.
Note too the Guardian's outpouring of concern that Hope Not Hate has had to cancel a book launch because of the threat of far-right violence.
Where was similar concern – in fact, any concern – from the Guardian at the chilling effect of British "counter-terrorism" police terrorising journalists like Asa Winstanley and Richard Medhurst and real anti-racism activists with raids on their homes, arrests and legal charges because they, unlike the Guardian, never bought into the campaign of antisemitism smears, and rejected the politics of hate directed towards Palestinians that smoothed the path to genocide.
The threat posed to the real anti-racist left by the state is much, much more serious than the threat posed by far-right thugs, riding on the coat-tails of the state's crackdown on the progressive left.
I was awoken by the most incredible explosion, I think around 4am. Our entire apartment shook
Nobody yet knows how many are killed, first estimate I am hearing is about 90 dead and hundreds injured. Desperate rescue attempts ongoing.
No warning. An entirely civilian block.
@RitchieTorres You are aware that the ex Israeli ambassador to Canada and a former legal advisor to Israeli Foreign Office, he, a survivor of the nazi death camps, Theodore Meron is one of the ICC experts who recommended the indictments?
@JoeBrolly1993 It's amazing Joe given that one of the members of the expert panel that recommended the indictment of the two Israeli actors is a Jewish survivor of the Nazi death camps, Theodor Meron, since described as antisemitic. The mind boggles
I am holding a vote on the floor of the U.S. Senate to block the sale of offensive arms to Israel.
The extremist Netanyahu government is breaking U.S. and international law. Every Senator who believes in the rule of law should vote for these resolutions. https://t.co/2Nb1mTnN3l
@Alan__Shatter irredeemable. This childlike approach oversimplifies reality and relies on identity politics, stifling meaningful debate and undermining progress
@Alan__Shatter a particular emotional response rather than advancing understanding. His rhetoric reduces complex issues—wealth inequality, Irish history, the education system, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict—to a simplistic narrative where "victims" are blameless and "villains" are
