NCIC, in partnership with @GenPrev, @RCKKenya, and @DRSKenya has embarked on the implementation phase of an initiative to promote social cohesion in Kakuma, Turkana County, which involves engaging target groups. The initiative seeks to strengthen social cohesion, peaceful coexistence, and long-term integration between refugees and the host community.
A dialogue forum with refugee community leaders was held today in Kakuma, providing a structured, inclusive, 📷and participatory space that allows the refugees to express their concerns, 📷address grievances, and jointly develop solutions to challenges, ahead of a joint intercommunal forum with the host community on Wednesday. 📷The dialogues also serve as early warning mechanisms for emerging conflicts to be handled before they escalate. #AmaniKwaGround @InteriorKE
Without deliberate and sustained interventions to decouple political identity from ethnic identity, Kenya's elections will continue to serve as flashpoints for communal conflict @NCIC_Kenya@IEBCKenya@NPSC_KE@NPSC_KE@StateHouseKenya

Gaza:
▪️A peer-reviewed study in The Lancet Global Health estimated 75,200 violent deaths between October 7, 2023, and January 5, 2025.
▪️Over 65,000 additional deaths from starvation.
▪️Women and children comprise approximately 60% to 70% of total fatalities.
▪️An additional 10,000 people are estimated to be missing and presumed buried under rubble.
▪️Over 80% of buildings in Gaza are reported to be damaged or destroyed, with an estimated 320,000+ housing units affected and over 60 million tonnes of rubble created.
Hell on earth. And there is absolutely no justification for this scale of atrocity whatsoever.
Kenya politicians exploit but never resolve land issues because resolution would reduce their leverage. Kenya's land question — rooted in colonial dispossession, compounded by decades of irregular allocation is the most reliable trigger for ethnic mobilisation during elections.

Kenya's counties were meant to be engines of equitable development, participatory democracy, and citizen-centered governance. Instead, too many have become fiefdoms of corruption, patronage, and impunity. The rot is not inevitable — it is structural, and it can be reformed.
The Ethiopian Bible is considered the oldest and most complete Bible in existence. 🇪🇹 Written in Ge’ez, an ancient Ethiopian language, it is nearly 800 years older than the King James Version and contains between 81 and 88 books, compared to the 66 found in the KJV.
It includes texts such as the Book of Enoch, Esdras, Baruch, and all three Books of Maccabees, along with several others that were later excluded from the King James Version.
