In the wake of the El-adde tragedy, we stand resolute in our condemnation.

The repeated attacks are a grim testament to the failure of both the federal government of Somalia and the Jubbaland administration in safeguarding their own.

Their inaction is as glaring as it is unacceptable.
Kenya's involvement, ostensibly to combat extremism, has only exacerbated the situation.

It is imperative that we redirect our efforts towards solutions that do not inadvertently fuel the very extremism we seek to quell.

Jubbaland, as a region, must be liberated from the clutches of an administration that leans towards Al-Shabaab.

The irony of such an alignment is not lost on us. To truly defeat Al-Shabaab, a paradigm shift is imperative. It is time for a leadership that prioritizes the security and well-being of its constituents.

Let this be a wake-up call. We call upon all stakeholders to come together, setting aside political interests, in pursuit of a strategy that transcends short-term gains and focuses on the long-term stability and security of the region.

‼️ #LasAnodWaterSupply Company director is accessing the extensive destruction #LAWS sustained after 8 months long it remained in the hands of Somaliland. The facility was $15 million locally invested company which supplied the city and surrounding areas. Today, it has been completely ransacked, destroyed, or looted. Warlord @musebiihi’s militia occupied the facility on February 6 and were using it as a base until they were dislodged from the area in August 25 war. They destroyed the main systems, machines, laboratories, electrical panels, and other essentials parts of the facility. This amounts to war crimes in the international law and must be investigated.

Ismail Omar Guelleh (IOG) delves deeper into the war between SSC-Khatumo and Somaliland and sends heavily armed forces and material to Somaliland.
In a 29 August cabinet meeting, President IOG informed his cabinet that "Djibouti is deploying all its security forces internally and outside the country to secure the safety of the nation." The external troop deployment is said to mean Somaliland.
Various local sources in Djibouti are reporting rows after rows of military movement nightly crossing over to the border with Somaliland.
Two days prior to the cabinet meeting, on 27 August, the Djibouti Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee and is reported to have put the security forces on full alert.
And two days prior to that, on 25 August, Somaliland forces in Sool were thoroughly defeated by SSC-Khatumo civil defense forces, and are reported to have captured heavy weapons, artillery shells, and ammunition from Djibouti.
Since Muse Bihi's army was trounced in Sool, Somaliland has been daily threatening of taking revenge and soon attacking SSC-Khatumo again to capture Goojacadde and the Sool region.
With coups deposing the aging leaders of francophone countries of West Africa, it is reported that President IOG of Djibouti, another francophone country, is very nervous of losing his Somaliland buffer zone. If Somaliland collapses, the Mamasan of the Isse tribe which IOG hails from will for the first time have an opportunity to set up rebel bases in Awdal region. As a highly controlled buffer zone, Awdal region is currently under weak but still repressive security forces of Somaliland.
