@PriaulxLibrary @CILIPRareBooks It can be very hard to find someone at a public library who has worked with the rare books collections in the past so getting a definitive answer can be hard. Would be interested to hear the experience of others too!

@PriaulxLibrary @CILIPRareBooks Thanks for your question! From my experience (usually when I have been offered something for sale) I have got in touch with the library to ask. Often there is no record of deaccession but the rare books have been dispersed in general and the library haven’t wanted them back.
