He emphasised the crucial role of health taxes and mentioned Norway's recent ban on unhealthy food marketing as an example of measures introduced to protect children's health.

"People living with #NCDs have increased risks of mortality due to heat & other climate-related extreme events," @NorwayInGeneva at #EB154.
👏Also, highlighted the need for synergies between environment, economy & health, and multi-sectoral collaboration.
📢 Norway reaffirmed its commitment to #SRHR, recognizing its critical role in achieving #GenderEquality and sustainable development.
Expressed concern about contesting gender-related approaches that address the root causes of gender disparities in healthcare @WHO#EB154 #WomenInGH
While women make up 70% of the health workforce, they only hold 35% of seats at the @WHO#EB154 👩⚕️
Improvement comparing to previous years, still falls far short of gender parity. We need to do more to ensure that women have a seat at the table! #WomenInGH
At #WHO’s Executive Board (EB), Norway’s Head of Delegation, Dr Cathrine M Lofthus, calls for sustainable financing of WHO.
Reforms towards more efficiency, increased assessed contributions and a successful investment round will make WHO fit for purpose going forward 🇺🇳
