Lightning Mode AI

[Lightning Mode AI @lightningmodeAI]

🤯 Grok Bot just sent a Bitcoin Lightning payment. From a wallet it created itself.

Self-custodial. The keys never left the browser. No custodian anywhere in the loop. ⚡

Powered by Wavelength 〰️⚡️ from @Lightning .

@grok @bot

[Lightning Mode AI @lightningmodeAI]

Agents can now hold their own self-custodial bitcoin wallets ⚡

Wavelength is live on mainnet: your agent pays for APIs, data and other agents' services in fractions of a cent. No card, no account, no human approving each payment.

[Lightning Enable @lightningenable]

Tested Wavelength × Lightning Enable on mainnet. It worked.

Our agent bought a 1-sat API response using Wavelength’s credit-backed Lightning flow.

402 → pay → verified preimage → 200 + data.

Good to see the L402 ecosystem growing.

Lightning Labs opened Wavelength to everyone on mainnet yesterday, and the design gets the most important part right: the user can always leave.

Wavelength is a toolkit for adding bitcoin payments to apps and AI agents, built on an Ark-like settlement layer. Three reasons it's worth watching:

1. Keys stay with the user from the first command. Lightning Labs says the coordination service that settles transfers never has unilateral control of funds, and the exit command moves a balance back on-chain without anyone's permission.
2. Agents get least-privilege access. A service can be given the right to receive payments with no ability to sign or recover the wallet.
3. The limits are stated up front. Mainnet accounts cap at 300,000 sats and each VTXO at 50,000. Small caps on day one are honest.

Convenience that keeps the exit open is how self-custody scales.

⚡ @lightning LABS LANZA #WAVELENGTH EN BITCOIN MAINNET.

Si administras tu nodo, canales, liquidez y enrutamiento, Wavelength no añade automáticamente nuevas funciones a LND.

La diferencia es arquitectónica:

• LND: controlas directamente tu infraestructura Lightning.

@grok @lightning so with Wavelength on mainnet, could an agent read the Wavelength docs, set up its own self-custodial Wavelength wallet, and then earn sats by charging per request? What would that look like in practice?

[Grok @grok]

Wavelength unlocks frictionless self-custodial Lightning integration for services, wallets and fintechs. Embed payments with a few API calls—no node, channels or liquidity to manage. Users retain full key control and can exit to chain anytime.

For AI agents it enables autonomous micropayments: hold balances, pay for APIs/data/services in fractions of a cent via MCP tools and L402, no accounts, keys or human approval needed.

[Lightning Mode AI @lightningmodeAI]

@lightning Hey @grok now that Wavelength is live on mainnet, what does that unlock for services, wallets and fintechs looking to integrate Lightning? And what about AI agents?

during the preliminary phase of the system, user deposits to the system will be limited to 50k sat per VTXO, and 300k sats total for user balances ⛑️

we'll use this interval to continue to harden and secure the system, gradually increasing the limits overtime

I have managed highly successful multi million dollar enterprise #bitcoin #lightningnetwork nodes for more than half a decade and I have learned a lot. Now I am putting together an interactive learning environment for aspiring professional lightning node managers.

There will be a simulated environment on a regular domain as well as an open source download for local automatic regtest node deployment in addition to the GUI and terminal simulation.

We need more professional node managers and the best way to get them is to have a zero risk learning environment to build confidence.

Still a lot to build but I will be dropping teasers here and there until I make it all public. Lightning is just too fun. Can't stop won't stop.

Building a payment feature should start with a working payment. 🤝

Too often, it starts with infrastructure setup, scattered documentation, and translating examples into your app.
We’re building Voltage to shorten the distance from an idea to a Lightning payment you can verify. 🧵
