@forces_at_work Right, but I tend to think that decency in practice will appear quite indecent by liberal standards. Isn't the axis of resistance in the middle east proving that decency demands much more than liberals will concede? And those aren't individuals I would describe as liberal.
@unMaskedRogue Spoken like a true adventurist! Don't you understand that the working class as a whole, and even the international proleteriat, must act before you ever think of taking initiative on your own?
@s_m_marandi I'm starting to think tanking the global economy is part of their plan for continued hegemony, Dr. Marandi. I have to believe Iran has considered this strategy and is not simply playing into their hands.
@unMaskedRogue Surely we must know our limits and model our thoughts on those who lack education and have difficulty thinking for themselves. What else could communism be but tailing normalcy?
@unMaskedRogue Haven't you learned the masses are the measure of righteous thoughts and deeds in political life? How dare we think we know better than them? They're normal people, so naturally they must be infallible.
@acc569023870@autisticmuzzlum@InfraHaz Academics are more like the middle managers of capitalism, not billionaires lobbying congress and pouring money into political campaigns while offering them employment after they serve their terms. The richest have hegenomic influence and decision-making capabilities in society.
@acc569023870@autisticmuzzlum@InfraHaz I agree, but I'm not sure how much intelligentsia is to blame for the political orientation of the masses. Eugenics is basically encoded into the profit-driven model of capitalism. The weak or ill are not profitable and less able to work and consume to enrich capitalists.
@LukasMukasPukas It's ironic that a select group of "Marxists" think they can outmuscle the fascists, rather than heed the Marxist lesson that the oppressive class will self-destruct on its own terms, including the ones envisaging unbridled strength and warrior vitality as essential to survival.
@autisticmuzzlum@InfraHaz The masses were right in fascist Italy and Nazi Germany too, weren't they? Or in Israel today? Of course, it is bourgeoisie to suggest otherwise.
@NKVDnwo@InfraHaz If it doesn't mean respect for persons, and recognizing human dignity regardless of race, ability, or sexual orientation, then I don't want any part in the movement.
@Kent_returned@InfraHaz So it's wrong to recognize the humanity and worth of people who don't conform to some rigorous idea of strength and vitality that might pretend to be "natural" but is conditioned by a capitalist ruling class like any other? I thought we were supposed to be challenging fascism?
@LoneSkumpdfj@Yugopnik The last couple of decades of neoliberalism have taught you that managed decline is possible? You might want to rethink your political angle.
@LauraMiers I care about other people too, but I'm starting to question it lately. They certainly don't seem to care about me and would rather let me rot than bear any minor inconvenience to help.
@richimedhurst Study up on anthropology before you go making ignorant statements like this with your new obssession with "realpolitik". Some civilizations explicitly disavowed colonial violence and deceitful actions in favor of upright behavior.
@cirnosad Note how God doesn't say a damn thing in the New Testament compared to the old where he is piping into their ear all the time. The true God wants nothing to do with this world and has nothing to do with it.
