Naji al-Ali was born in the village of Al-Shajara, Palestine, in 1937.

When Israel was created in 1948, his town Al-Shajara was ethnically cleansed and Palestinian natives were kicked out of their town, the town was demolished, and on top of it the settlers built a settlement and called it Ilaniya.

After the depopulation of his town, he grew up in the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp in Lebanon.

He was assassinated in London after he was shot on July 22, 1987, and died from his wounds on August 29, 1987.

China has carried out the world’s largest afforestation program, planting tens of billions of trees to combat desertification and restore damaged ecosystems. After decades of deforestation, overgrazing, and expanding deserts, China launched the Three North Shelterbelt Program in 1978 to slow the growth of the Gobi Desert and protect farmland and cities from dust storms.

Having lost both of her parents at a young age, Wang worked as a servant during her childhood. She later joined the revolutionary struggle.
