We all know what the three biggest problems with common printers are:
1) Ink rip-offs
2) Planned obsolescence
2) Unrepairable hardware
Today I stumbled upon 'OpenPrinter', a fully repairable, open-source inkjet that uses cheap refillable HP cartridges (no DRM), prints sheets or rolls with auto-cutter, Raspberry Pi powered + no drivers needed on any OS.
If I ever get a printer again, this will be the one:
IN 1994 SUN MICROSYSTEMS FILMED A WOMAN SWIPING THROUGH A TOUCHSCREEN TABLET AND VIDEO CALLING A COLLEAGUE MID TASK. THE iPAD SHIPPED 16 YEARS LATER
shot on 35mm film, more than a hundred engineers and designers on it, set in the year 2004, and here's the thing almost nobody mentions
it wasn't allowed to be science fiction, the team had one hard rule, only show things they actually believed could be built, so this wasn't a fantasy reel, it was a spec sheet pretending to be a movie
she drags documents with her fingers, talks to the machine, pulls a file from the other side of the world, drops into a live video call without thinking about it, this is a boring afternoon for you now, it was an impossible budget in 1994
the strange part is they weren't dreaming, they were trying to build it, then the company that filmed the future quietly moved on and a different company shipped it a decade and a half later and got called visionary for it
nobody stole it, they just forgot it was already designed, down to the gestures your thumbs make every morning
you think the touchscreen era started when you first held a phone that felt alive, it was fully storyboarded before some of you were born
watch it once and you can't unsee how little we actually invented ↓
THIS GUY BUILT AN APP THAT MAPS EVERY RAT IN NEW YORK CITY
you see a rat in the city, you name it, and it drops onto a live map.
except people got obsessed, and it grew into an entire social platform built around rats.
> a live feed of every rat sighting posted across the city
> you can like rats, comment on rats, and even like the comments on the rats
> a leaderboard of top spotters, plus badges and levels for the most dedicated
> hot spots that show you the blocks with the most rat activity
> theres a rat named paco standing on a subway platform who is currently one of the most famous rats in the app
it's the pokemon go for rats.
the app's name is ratmap. someone took the most annoying part of living in new york and turned it into a game people actually love playing
hes already expanding it to paris and the rest of europe next
Researchers are working urgently to identify a unique compound in a recently discovered wild mushroom that triggers remarkably consistent visions of miniature human figures.
Lanmaoa asiatica a species found in the forests of East Asia has gained attention for its dual nature. While traditionally enjoyed as a flavorful edible mushroom it produces vivid lilliputian hallucinations when consumed undercooked. Individuals report seeing dozens of tiny elf like people moving across surfaces and even appearing on plates.
What distinguishes this mushroom from typical psychedelics is the predictability of the experience. Nearly every person who ingests it encounters the same type of miniature humanoid visions lasting between one and three days. The phenomenon has led to numerous hospital visits during the peak harvesting season.
Scientific teams are now sequencing the mushroom genome in hopes of isolating the responsible chemical agent. Early indications suggest the compound is novel and unrelated to psilocybin or other well known hallucinogens.
Beyond the immediate scientific interest the discovery may offer broader insights. Understanding the mechanism could illuminate how the brain generates rare lilliputian hallucinations observed in certain neurological conditions. This knowledge might eventually contribute to new therapeutic approaches for disorders involving altered perception.

The LARGEST sunscreen-skin cancer study in HISTORY (n=470,000) found sunscreen users are FAR MORE likely to develop EVERY major form of skin cancer.

27% of sunscreens are laced with BENZENE, a known carcinogen.
Benzene was detected in products from major brands including Neutrogena, Banana Boat, Sun Bum, CVS Health, EltaMD, Raw Elements, TopCare Everyday, Goodsense, SunBurnt, and Fruit of the Earth.
The two party political system in America is designed and functions to divide 99% of Americans so you see each other as the enemy and refuse to work together to overthrow the real enemy which are the elites, who game the system to enrich themselves, hold the power, and enslave the 99% in debt slavery with few ladders to climb out.
If the 99% would break free from the prison of the two party mindset, then the 99% will defeat the elites who have built the political prison.
The two party system has enslaved you in $40 trillion in debt, will bankrupt Social Security and Medicare by 2032, and is ruining the value of the dollar you work so hard to earn.
It’s madness.
Elite Athletes Are REFUSING American Food!
For the 1st time EVER, top athletes are shipping in their own rations because they DON'T TRUST U.S. groceries.
Norway just sent 1,000 kg of their own food to the World Cup — including fish, cheese, and 6,000 oranges — rather than risk American produce.
Why? U.S. oranges aren't even naturally orange anymore. They're often green clones dyed with Citrus Red No. 2 (a petroleum-based dye labeled a human carcinogen), dipped in ammonia baths, coated in morpholine (banned in 31 countries), and gassed with ethylene until they're basically petrochemical fruit.
Even the fungicides left behind are so toxic that a simple baking soda soak removes up to 95% of residue — yet unwashed U.S. oranges still flag cancer-linked chemicals.
This isn't "just fruit." It's a glaring warning about the quality and safety of everyday American food. If Olympic-level athletes won't touch it... why should we?
We have a spending problem and pay enough taxes for a country founded by men who waged a Revolution on a 3% tax.
How about stop sending our tax dollars overseas to fund foreign countries, foreign wars, and foreign people.
Mammagrams are a textbook Big Pharma scam.
They provably CAUSE the cancer they're meant to be detecting.
Remember that cancer treatment is the golden cash cow for the pharmaceutical industry. The more people that get it, the better their bottom line 💰

DANGER: "Fresh" Bagged Lettuce Is Drowning In Chemicals & Biosolid Sewage
Grocery Store "triple-washed" or "ready-to-eat" bagged lettuce is dumped through heavy chlorine baths (the same chemical used in toilets and pools, but at industrial levels), then sealed in plastic with special gases to stay "fresh" for weeks.
These greens frequently start in fields fertilized with biosolids (treated human sewage), sprayed with multiple pesticides, and processed with aggressive chemicals that are banned or restricted in many countries. Even "organic" bags aren’t always spared from the harsh washing or contamination risks.
The scary part?
- Bagged salads are linked to far more E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria outbreaks than whole heads of lettuce.
- Bacteria can hide inside the leaves — rinsing at home doesn’t fully remove it and can sometimes spread contamination.
- All that convenience means more processing, more chemical residues, and less actual nutrition.
Don't risk your family’s health for a few minutes of “easy salad.” Buy whole heads of lettuce, wash them thoroughly yourself, buy from local farm markets or grow your own if possible.
Your gut and immune system will thank you.
