@shahpas@LatinMilAv Just so you know, Gripen E and F15EX are both 4,5+ gen. They have both AESA-radars and they have both pros and cons. You got kinda weird arguments, but I’m not surprised. F15EX is much bigger and heavier which makes the RCS bigger.
🇨🇦 #Globaleye compatible with #NATO, F-35, #NORAD - Saab
Background: Recently some American consultant argued that Saabs AEW&C aircraft - made in two NATO countries - would not be compatible.

@CostaLefty65147@HoyasFan07 No, there were never any veto against the sale of 17 Gripens to Colombia. It was rumours, but no actions just typical american propaganda. Saab had and still has all of the necessary licenses required for the sale.
@Theyforcedmeto2@noclador You are misunderstanding. Every new jet that comes out of the Saab facilities is tested, but more to verify that everything works.
If you replace the F414G engine with for instance EJ200, there´s a lot more to consider... You can´t just switch the engines and then take off...
@Theyforcedmeto2@noclador No investigations whatsoever regarding the engine. The Gripen is built to replace the engine if something happens during a flight.
F414G can only be replaced with F414G.
F414G cannot simply be replaced with EJ200, that would require new test flights.
@Cdhd123@jim_keats@TrendPolCa NORAD doesn´t require 5th gen capabilities, not according to NORAD Commander Gregory Guillot...
A mixed fleet will prove how vulnerable the F35 really is when maintenance, training, mission availability, costs etc is being compared to a non stealth fighter.
@Cdhd123@jim_keats@TrendPolCa Give me the link of the source, not a statement in your own Tweet... Otherwise people need to consider your tweets as "trust me bro"-source.
@Cdhd123@jim_keats@TrendPolCa Gripen has a mission-capable availability of 80-90% and the F35 is nearly 50-60%.
Regarding the scoring 95% VS 33%;

@Cdhd123@jim_keats@TrendPolCa If Canada opts for a mixed fleet, it´s not the Gripen that will be the logistically weak link, it will be the F35.
I saw an interesting on Youtube, I suggest you watch it. I also found these two comments kinda interesting.

@Cdhd123@jim_keats@TrendPolCa I answered to Jim Keats comment. He said he didn´t get the "job-question". If Canada was promised 12600 jobs with 72 aircrafts and 6 GlobalEyes, how on earth is 10k jobs for only 36 aircrafts possible? There were no job-numbers available at the time, if so, please give me source?
