Lovely afternoon workshopping microbial fuel cell designs of the future using Lego to help inform student’s grant proposals for their assessment on our Biotechnology unit. The collaboration and sharing of ideas was fantastic to see. @MMU_NATSCI#legoseriousplay
Great to see patient-centred care at the forefront of this conference discussed by colleagues #UKCCIIS and hearing the voice from athletes themselves

Such positivity, fantastic thought-provoking discussions, as well as amazing network building opportunities today - I so enjoyed presenting with @drkirstyshaw about our work on leadership and employability training for students at the #LTconference23@McrMetLEED#manmetproud
Todays inaugural #LTconference23 by @McrMetLEED was really inspiring. @lintonmicro and I presented our work on leadership training to improve students confidence and career aspirations, and had some great discussions with staff across the uni. Nice goodie bags too!
Great to be involved in this work with Steph Valentin and Nick Sculthorpe on injury prevention programmes across a range of sports. IPPs reduce injury by 29% regardless of age and sex, but not if they are unsupervised.

It really has been a great week back in the labs with such an enthusiastic group of students! I think I might have even learnt a bit of microbiology 😉🦠🔬🧫
Really interesting talk from @DrJamesRedfern about science communication and the need for further talks about biolfilms as well as AMR to a wider audience
Another great full day of leadership workshops. Here is @drkirstyshaw discussing leadership qualities. Thanks fab students from @MMU_NATSCI and @MMU_LifeScience for being so enthusiastic and open. Thanks to Prof Liz Price for her inspiring talk. @MMUEngage@ManMetUni
