The best engineers I’ve worked with do it because they love it. Sure the money is nice but it doesn’t last. If you’re in it for the love of the game how you could sit on the sidelines during the golden age of technology. AGI needs champions of the people not a few big companies.

@charliermarsh I used to love reviewing code and having discussions with fellow engineers. Always saw it as a great teaching tool for juniors to review senior code even if they just asked questions. Now it just feels like I'm prompting someone else's agent in an inefficient manner

I have one that's been running continuously for a day. It's optimizing our AWS NAT Gateway bandwidth by routing CI/CD traffic to cached endpoints, monitoring VPC Flow Logs for new opportunities, and shipping PRs across multiple repos for me to review.

A simple loop I've been enjoying: have the agent monitor the merge and deployment, automatically verify the change in production, then send me the link.

@nbaschez We've dabbled in the company brain and the easy part is turning on all the connections, the hard part is keeping a curated data set that consistently returns the right answers. I've avoided investing more time in it because it feels like a problem the providers should solve

Tried the codex app for the first time in a bit and was pleasantly surprised with the updates. Was able to get into the flow on 5-10 parallel agents. /goal is a must to limit the attention span to a few threads. Burned about ~400M tokens today...so far
