Preparing a talk at @lrug tomorrow. This is a reactive, server-rendered dataflow workflow in Ruby. The DAG component shows how steps run as soon as their dependencies are satisfied by other steps, so concurrent execution is self-organising.

Interaction kills automation! AI runs work for you, any interrupt will slow down your productivity. I'm most productive when I build AI work to follow practices from Unix tools where interfaces avoided interactivity wherever possible and pipe `yes` where tools are designed badly.

Marco (@marcoroth_) is a great example of someone who is an active part of the Rails community.

He built Herb by listening to developers' frustrations and made it open source to give back. Herb is an HTML-aware ERB toolchain and an ecosystem of developer tools for HTML + ERB files.

We interviewed Marco back in November 2025 at @sfrubyconf when Herb was still in development. In this conversation, he explains what it is, how Ruby simplifies AI coding, and why attending conferences and events matters.
