Today marks the half year anniversary of Azerbaijan’s ongoing blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh in violation of the 2020 ceasefire agreement & 2023 ICJ binding order.
#ArtsakhBlockade
Azerbaijan’s blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh has left 100K+ Armenians without access to basic necessities.
It's inhumane—and it's unacceptable.
That's why I just introduced a bipartisan resolution condemning this blockade and urging the United States to take action now.
I just wrote a @theactionnet letter: Urgent Appeal for Action: Humanitarian Crisis Unfolding in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Write one here: https://t.co/iO1vzLs0tr
Thousands rally in Stepanakert’s Renaissance Square to stop Azerbaijan's ethnic cleansing of Artsakh as they mark Shushi Liberation Day and recommit to ensuring a free and peaceful future for Artsakh.
The rally, initiated by the "NO to the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh" movement, aimed to address the world and demand the unblocking of Artsakh, stand up for the right to live freely, safely, and independently in their homeland, show that Artsakh is not surrendering, and demonstrate their determination to continue the struggle. The movement also called for vigilance, sobriety, consolidation, and struggle among Armenians worldwide.
The statement issued by the movement called for redefining the day of their ancestors' victories with a new vow to keep Artsakh Armenian.
On April 28th, the "NO to the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh" movement initiated a petition and signature campaign against the actions of Azerbaijan, which violate the trilateral agreement between Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia. The movement also organized peaceful actions on May 2nd at the Stepanakert-Shushi road section and on May 3rd in the area called "Zarin Bagh," demanding the removal of an illegal Azerbaijani checkpoint.
Azerbaijani has been blockading Artsakh now for over 148 days.
Artsakh State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan has accused Azerbaijan of energy, economic, humanitarian, and ecological terrorism against the Sarsang Reservoir.
Due to the 146-day blockade of the Republic of Artsakh, Azerbaijan has disrupted electricity and gas supplies, causing difficulties for the people. As a result, the Sarsang Reservoir's water resources have reached a critical limit, posing a risk of electricity and water supply for the population of Artsakh, leading to an environmental crisis.
The international community is urged to take immediate action to address this situation. Satellite images have been attached as evidence.
BREAKING: The Sarsang reservoir in Artsakh almost completely dried up as a result of the genocidal actions of Azerbaijan against Artsakh.
After the illegal blockade of Berdzor (Lachin) Corridor, Azerbaijan is carrying out energy terror against Artsakh continuously disrupting the high-voltage power line from Armenia to Artsakh and cutting off the gas supply. Both the power line and the gas pipeline pass through the territories that were occupied by Azerbaijan during the 44-Day War.
Due to the failure of the power line passing from Armenia to Artsakh, the electricity supply of the republic is carried out at the expense of the hydroelectric power station on the reservoir, which caused irreparable damage to it.
After the 44-Day War, Artsakh lost most of its hydropower plants. Sarsang is the largest hydropower hub there, meeting about half of the domestic demand.
Artsakh 120K people are under Az-made blockade for 140 days, with partial electricity supply for 111 days & without gas supply for 74 days.
Aliyev regime uses force & seeks ethnic cleansing.
Support "Unblock Humanity" initiative to raise intl awareness!

The youth of Artsakh have decided to take action by creating a petition against the actions of Azerbaijan, which violates the trilateral agreement between Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia.
Young people are showing courage and dedication to defend their homeland. On April 29, many joined the process of collecting signatures to draw attention to the ongoing conflict in Artsakh.
The petition has four demands:
1)Withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from the Armenian territories occupied after November 9, 2020.
2)Full observance of a ceasefire regime.
3)Immediate unblocking of the corridor and uninterrupted communication with Armenia through a 5 km wide corridor, removal of the checkpoint.
4)Ensuring the right of return of prisoners of war and refugees to their homeland.
The petition has been initiated by the "NO to the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh" movement.

Today, the 120,000 people of Artsakh, who are under the threat of genocide, are commemorating the memory of 1.5 million Armenians who were killed in the Ottoman Empire 108 years ago.

During this visit to #Syunik, #Tegh community we verified evidence of #Azerbaijani unlawful incursions inside the Republic of #Armenia, as well as evidence of human rights violations, that they cause to the civilian population.
The city of Bakurakert (modern #Baku) is named after the #Armenian king Bakur, who ruled Great Armenia in 160-164 AD. Bakurakert was built by the king of Great Armenia Trdat I in honor of his brother Bakur I.
Azerbaijan tries to starve people of Nagorno-Karabagh by its illegal criminal blockade and by shooting at farmers trying to grow crops. Time for the world to take this little racist fascist thug of Baku to task. #SanctionAliyev#SanctionAzerbaijan
Azerbaijan using paid students posing as eco-activists to starve 120k Armenians in Nagorno-Karabagh. From the evil mind of a fascist oligarch dictator. #SanctionAliyev#SanctionAzerbaijan
