Democrat since birth, but NJ has me flummoxed.
Yesterday brought the surreal experience of headlining POLITICO's NJ Playbook, which lands in my email every morning. That a seemingly minor Facebook fracas has evolved into this...
You might be thinking "Hmm... Tom Kean's been missing for months, Jon Bramnick is talked about as a potential replacement and he's sending mailers out from his state Senate account a year before his own primary." But Bramnick insists this really is about his state Senate seat...
Judge tosses NJ-7 Libertarian from ballot for having New York circulators. That could benefit Tom Kean, Jr.
Also -- and this is meant sarcastically -- if New York can have a stadium in East Rutherford, why can't they have circulators?

🧵 For new NY Knicks fans who don’t know what the name means. The legal name of the team is “The New York Knickbockers.” What is a Knickbocker? Technically, it’s a type of pant that used to be worn by schoolboys but is now really only worn in football and baseball.
Some serious First Amendment issues in quickly advancing legislation on abortion and trans health care. Initially it would have criminalized making clinic staff or patients feel "mental anguish." Come on.

As for Randall Terry’s Tennessee address: You can run for Congress in NJ without living there as long as you do by the time you’re sworn in. And you never have to live in the district you represent. But he’s also running for governor of Hawaii….
The Democratic party is throwing their friends under the bus for no reason. People are non-reactive to loss of Black voting rights. Nobody cares that Jews are being targeted for murder. Now? Domestic violence doesn't matter. MeToo never mattered at all.
Noting the trend of candidates in New Jersey winning elections with less than 30% of the total vote, state Senator @vingopal tells @MattFriedmanNJ he is exploring either instituting runoff elections, or ranked-choice voting.
Several municipalities in the state already have runoff elections, which may make it easier to expand on a state level.
‘Blue No Matter Who’ is for normal candidates who you may not have voted for in the primary and may not be particularly fond of, but are still perfectly fine; not unfathomably flawed candidates with Nazi tattoos and claims of domestic violence. The fuck are you talking about??
