@calebcollins345@agave_redeux Why would ranchers invest in infrastructure and logistics now, only to re-enter a lower-priced market later? This is off-shoring. We’ve seen it with manufacturing, call centers, medicine, etc. If we favor foreign producers, the cattle industry won’t survive. (Which is the point.)
@CoreyJMahler Have yet to see any actual evidence for evolution. Let alone an explanation for the “Cambrian Explosion”, where 2 phyla became 30+ almost overnight. There aren’t enough events available in the predicted lifespan of the universe to allow for that much guess-and-test “evolution”.
@agave_redeux@RepMaloyUtah Welcome to end-stage capitalism. The govt answers only to the market, and that market no longer answers to the consumer. Credit where it’s due, the FDA did some good for a time, but that was eons ago.
@justinkaugusts People tend to overlook the power of mystery. Accepting that it’s OK, you don’t need to know the details, (you’ll find out when you need to), is a huge component of the “letting go” required by faith.
@Ethosrevival “This can be the spread of harmful ideologies, claims made by the media that are untrue…” not to mention speech that’s disruptive to the wellbeing of the society. There are parasites who thrive on disorder, and they abuse freedom of speech to that end.
@maxyourtest@Ethosrevival It’s truly shocking when you realize someone isn’t. Like, do you really not want to know more? What it means? How it works? You’re not curious? At all?!
@alpharivelino Portraits through history (be they sculpture, paintings, or photos) are one way society portrays its ideals. Flooding is with images of women dominating men, miscegenation, ugly models, troons, etc. are a deliberate attempt to mold a new zeitgeist.
